Safety First

Since its early days as the Barren River Regional Water Safety Council, this group has always had water safety at its core.  Boating, swimming, skiing, fishing, and other water-based activities bring lots of fun and enjoyment to our lives.  However, nothing is more important than going home to your family at the end of the day.  Adhering to simple measures such as wearing a properly fitted life jacket, always swimming with a buddy, and knowing the boating “rules of the road” can drastically increase your safety on and around the water.  For more information about how you can increase your water wisdom, check out the links in our footer.
